Trash Diary – 12/31/10

Yesterday I started a trash diary to get a head start on the new year’s resolution.

Here’s what I discarded on Day 2.

Trash:
2 Egg shells
4 Keurig cups (K-cups)
3 paper towels (slight water, then slight coffee spillage)
handful of tissues (Pesky, lingering cold.)
food scraps (mainly lettuce ends)
plastic bag (from the lettuce)
plastic bag (from a two-pack of bread I bought, but first I filled it with kitty litter scoopings)
a few napkins and small paper hotdog wrappers (lunch while running errands with hubby)
More napkins and a couple of plastic plates and cups at a new years gathering

Recycled:
toilet paper roll
2 junkmail catalogues

Saved:
2 plastic bags (from two small purchases, had my own reusable bag)
10 plastic bags (or 3 paper, depending on how you pack stuff from a larger grocery shopping trip, no bags for most of the stuff)
